Robert Isham

Robert Isham studied at Christ's College in Cambridge. He became the rector of Pytchley in 1548. He became prebendary of Peterborough in 1553 and of Windsor in 1558.   Because he had been one of Mary's chaplains, he resigned both stalls when Elizabeth accesended to the throne. He purchased a manor in Pytchley, Staffords and was quite well off.
